​​Bungee Fitness is a low-impact, high-intensity interval resistance training program designed to give you the buoyancy and support needed to perform exercises that might otherwise be difficult or impossible without assistance. Using a harness and bungee cord, participants can enjoy a dynamic and fun workout that combines the benefits of cardio and strength training without the stress on joints.

Who Can Participate in Bungee Fitness?

Our Bungee Fitness classes require participants to trust the equipment and learn to control their body weight while strapped into the harness. The bungee system can be adjusted to accommodate each participant’s height and weight, ensuring a personalized experience. While the system has a learning curve, our instructors are here to guide you through the foundational exercises on which the program is built.

The low-impact nature of Bungee Fitness makes it a great option for individuals dealing with joint issues or previous injuries, such as knee or hip problems. The support provided by the bungee cord minimizes stress on these areas, allowing you to push yourself without fear of re-injury.

Note: The bungee system has a 100 kg safety weight limit. This is the only class that requires a DEMO outside of a class scheduled class time.

Age Requirements

Our Bungee Fitness classes are open to individuals 18 years and older. However, we’re happy to make special arrangements for minors who are serious about improving their fitness or losing weight. Our goal is to support anyone looking to enhance their overall health, especially those who may have existing medical conditions preventing them from engaging in traditional exercise forms.

To get the most out of your Bungee Fitness demo class, we recommend following these tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience:

  • Wear comfortable gym clothes: Opt for something that allows easy movement and flexibility.

  • Consider a second pair of leggings or padded shorts: This can help reduce the sensation of the harness on your hips and body, especially for first-timers.

  • Wear trainers/tekkies with good grip: Proper footwear is important for maintaining stability during the class.

  • Bring a sweat towel and water bottle: Staying hydrated and wiping away sweat is key to staying comfortable.

  • Eat something substantial before class: To avoid feeling lightheaded, ensure you’ve eaten beforehand.

 

Health and Safety Guidelines:

Your safety is a top priority. Please follow these guidelines during your class:

  • Bring a yoga mat or large sweat towel for stretching after the workout.

  • Ensure your shoes are clean before entering the studio to protect the workout space.

  • Arrive on time: Late arrivals will not be allowed to join the class to avoid disruption.

  • Stay home if you’re feeling unwell: It’s important to protect the health of others and yourself.

  • 100kg weight limit.

Additional Notes:

  • Stiff muscles and minor bruising may occur after your first few classes, which is normal as your body adjusts to the workout.
