Originating from circus arts, the Aerial Hoop is a circular steel ring used to perform acrobatic and bodyweight exercises. This versatile apparatus allows for endless combinations of fluid movements and transitions, making it an excellent platform for both fitness and artistic expression.

The Aerial Hoop classes focus on developing a balanced combination of strength, stamina, and flexibility. While targeting core muscles, it also strengthens the upper body, improves your range of motion, and enhances active flexibility.

Absolutely! Our Aerial Hoop classes are designed to accommodate beginners as well as those with previous hoop experience. The basics are thoroughly covered before advancing to more challenging levels. Instructors tailor exercises to suit each participant’s skill level, ensuring that everyone progresses at their own pace.

 

Do I Need to Be Fit to Start Aerial Hoop?

No prior fitness experience is required to join Aerial Hoop classes! Whether you’re new to aerial activities or fitness in general, the classes are structured to allow progression at your own pace. Techniques and combinations at each level need to be mastered before moving on, giving you plenty of time to build strength and confidence.

Your First  Class: Information

What to Wear:

  • Tight-fitting, long pants or leggings: These will help protect your legs while performing moves on the hoop.

  • Shorts: Can also be worn for additional grip behind the knees during certain movements.

  • Comfortable t-shirt or exercise shirt: Ensure it allows free movement while keeping you comfortable during class.

 

Health and Safety Guidelines:

  • Bring your own yoga mat or large towel: For warm-ups and to maintain hygiene during the session.

  • Bring a towel: To clean the equipment after use.

  • Remove your shoes at the entrance: Socks or bare feet are recommended during the training sessions.

  • Remove all jewelry: To protect both the equipment and your belongings during class.

  • Arrive on time: Warm-up is crucial for your safety, so late arrivals will not be permitted.

 

Additional Notes:

  • Expect stiff muscles and some bruising after your first few classes as your body adjusts to the exercises.

  • Complete the online medical disclaimer before attending your class.

  • Stay home if you’re feeling unwell to ensure the safety and comfort of other participants.
