Hammock Stretch

Hammock Stretch is a low-impact exercise and stretching class that uses the support of an aerial hammock to help you adjust the intensity of your stretches. The hammock minimizes joint strain while allowing you to stretch safely and effectively. It’s a great way to build strength, increase flexibility, and improve balance and focus, all while having fun!
The hammock can also be used for a more dynamic workout, targeting your muscles and core, making it an excellent alternative to traditional fitness routines.

Your First Class: Information
Aerial Hammock classes at LP Fit Aerial Fitness Studio use a silk stretch fabric that supports and aids your stretches and movements. To make the most of your experience, please follow these guidelines:
What to Wear:
-
Close-fitting clothing: Wear leggings and a fitted t-shirt or tank top to cover your legs and torso. This will protect your skin from any discomfort while adjusting to the aerial hammock.
-
No jewelry or clothing with zippers: These can damage the delicate fabric and interfere with your practice. This includes hair clips and other accessories.
-
Check your fingernails: Long nails may make gripping the fabric difficult, so short nails are preferable.
-
Bring a yoga mat for floor work, or a sweat towel if you plan to use one of our mats.
Hygiene and Safety:
-
Bring a pair of clean, unworn socks: Grippy or yoga-style socks are recommended for better traction.
-
Ensure your hands are clean to maintain the cleanliness of the hammock fabric.
-
Do not attend class if you're feeling unwell to help prevent the spread of germs.

-
Expect stiff muscles and some bruising after your first few classes as your body adjusts to the exercises.
